Human Resources

Human Resources plays a significant role by supporting line management in conducting effective personnel management.

The foundation for this is a robust strategic HR agenda shared by the Executive Board and deans. The primary task of the HR division is to support the organization in executing and further developing this strategic agenda. The main processes of the HR division include general personnel policy, organizational consulting, advice on recruitment, internal mobility, and staff turnover, and HR administration. Administrative processes are consolidated within the HR Service Center.

Organization

The division consists of three departments:

HR Advice

The responsibility for HR lies within the line management and employees. With a passion for and knowledge of the primary processes of research, education, valorization, and business operations, the HR advisor contributes to (strategic) HR policy and HR issues.

HR Staff

In the HR staff, functions/tasks are assigned whose expertise cannot be placed within a faculty team due to the risk to the organization being too great or because it would lead to inefficiency or a reduction in the quality of service. Additionally, the team supports the Executive Board in HR issues, is responsible for preparing the Local Consultation, and is also a participant in this consultation. It maintains contacts with external parties such as Universities of the Netherlands, ministries, and colleague universities. Project leaders with specialized knowledge for projects such as e-HRM and Gender, as well as the trainer, are also included in the staff.

HR Service

Within HR Services, tasks and functions of Payroll Administration, HR assistants, and functional managers of HR ICT systems are bundled. This bundling lays the foundation for achieving operational excellence: knowledge sharing, optimization of professionalization, reduction of vulnerability, increase in quality, and efficiency. In addition to providing information, the Service Center focuses on all administrative and supportive personnel processes, complementing HR Advice.
