The role will predominantly involve: study, analyse, manage and quote general ledger major and middle market business in accordance with the AIG guidelines, authorities, strategy, processes and tools:

  • Manage, analyse and defend an existent portfolio of business
  • Build up a profitable book of new business
  • Prepare risk referrals for new and existing business
  • Handle rating tools and prepare booking instructions
  • Participate in client/broker meetings
  • Monitor book portfolio in relation to claims
  • Handle the commercial relationship with clients and brokers
  • Give presentations and trainings, and take care of internal and external networking
  • Invest in different initiatives for underwriting excellence


  • At least 6 years of relevant experience within an insurance environment, preferrably in a simular position
  • Dutch and English language capabilities
  • Commercial and analytical skills
  • Structured, organised, open-minded, flexible, not afraid of hard work
  • Team player
  • Good communication and presentation skills
