Bedrijfsomschrijving

The AMC is more than just a hospital. It is a world in which patient care, research and education are integrated, and in which people are always central. It is an academic world full of possibilities for talented individuals that are looking for a place where they can excel. Thinking big, daring to dream, cooperating internationally. And never letting yourself be put off by ‘It’s not possible’ or ’It won’t work anyway’. That is the AMC mentality.

The gynecology and fertility satellite group is located at the Center for Reproductive Medicine of the Academic Medical Center in Amsterdam. Our center for reproductive medicine is widely recognized as one of the world’s top groups in human reproductive medicine and reproductive biology. We focus on providing top-clinical care to patients suffering from infertility and on understanding the basic pathophysiological mechanisms underlying infertility. Overall the aim of the center is to increase effectiveness and safety of medically assisted reproduction. We are very active in healthcare evaluation research through a successful series of ZonMw grants and through participation in Cochrane reviews. The AMC also hosts the Healthcare evaluation consortium of the National Obstetrics and Gynecology society (NVOG). The managing editor will work primarily with our local coordinating editor but in a larger group of PhD students, doctors, nurses, embryologists and other researchers and healthcare professionals.
