This postdoctoral fellow position is externally funded and the candidate will study the molecular regulation of anti-tumor cytotoxic CD8+ T cells (CTL). The goal of this study is to understand the miRNA changes that occur with anti-tumor CTL failure and exploit these changes to devise strategies for enhancing CTL immunity to cancer. The candidate will further develop experimental mouse models to investigate the functions of non-coding RNAs in tumor specific CTL immunity, generate retroviral expression vectors to manipulate activities of miRNAs in vivo and contribute to the fundamental and translational research.
Ambitious candidates with a strong background and hands-on experience in the area of tumor immunology and molecular biology will be considered. Experience with mouse models (art.9), next generation sequencing and bioinformatics is highly desirable. The successful candidates must have a Ph.D., publications in leading peer-review journals and presentations at scientific conferences. Candidates are expected to work independently, be highly motivated and have team spirit. The candidate should have excellent oral and written communication skills.
Being able to present a certificate of good conduct is a condition for the appointment.
