  • You will be responsible of the sales area Benelux
  • Report directly to the General Manager, but will be cooperating internally with the product management in the Benelux and in the Head office in Hamburg, Germany, within a team of colleagues working with Inorganics throughout Europe
  • Relationship management: Develop and build relationships with the buyers, including their technical staff, and possibly regional General Managers depending on account size
  • Sales: Growing Sales and Profitability by using frequent customer contacts to identify opportunities, enhance relations and secure solid long term sales
  • Purchases: Growing Business and Profitability by frequent supplier contacts and the identification and development of business cases in close cooperation with the product management
  • Internal: Develop a 3 X 3 relationship management plan involving the Product Manager, Sales Assistant (inside sales) and Logistics within the HELM Group. Assisting in the mutual build-up of capabilities and resources to meet and exceed set growth objectives
  • Strategic sales iIntegration: Integrate sales activities into a working sales process. Ideally, this includes support and development of customer’s sales organization
  • Business plan: Development of a business plan process which enables the growth objectives of both customer and Helm. This plan should include: Annual growth targets, regional plans, pipeline planning and development, market prioritization, new markets


The ideal candidate will:

  • Have 5-10 years of chemicals sales experience in Chemical production or Chemical distribution of inorganics
  • Preferably already bringing along a current network or in-depth knowledge of customers, suppliers and logistics within the field of “Inorganic Acids & Lyes”, especially for the products Hydrochloric Acid, Caustic Soda Lye and/or Sulphuric Acid
  • Have personality traits that include integrity, tenacity, perseverance, empathy, and a can-do-positive attitude
  • Strong account management and relationship building skills
  • Have the attitude to organize independently and frequently targeted customer and supplier visits
  • Have good working habits and ethics in terms of budgeting, visit reports and communication.
  • Have a good level of English language and possibly French would be required
  • Willing to travel frequently to clients in Belgium and Holland


Good remuneration package including 13th month, bonus, company car and 26 holidays.
