Functieomschrijving

The cerebellum is an intricately folded brain region positioned behind the brainstem. Although traditionally somewhat overlooked in neuroimaging, its role in many important brain functions has recently led to increased interest. The thin cortex and high degree of folding mean that only very high resolution, high quality imaging suffices for cerebellar cortical segmentation or laminae visualisation. The PhD student will work on MR data analysis directed towards the cerebellum and on cognitive neuroscientific projects mapping cerebellar function. We are currently hiring multiple PhD students for related positions.
