Postdoc Delineating and Targeting Pathological Signal Transduction Pathways

The overall aims of the project you will be working on are to uncover new signal transduction mechanisms, and to identify and characterize novel inhibitors of these processes. We take a multidisciplinary approach including high throughput chemical screens, genetics, (bio)chemistry, cell biology, zebrafish/mouse models and mathematics/bioinformatics. As a postdoc, you will have a leading role in research projects. Thus, you will also supervise other researchers and PhD candidates and take the lead in research projects. You will also publish your results in high-impact scientific journals and present your findings at (inter)national conferences.
· You have a PhD degree in (bio)chemistry or molecular cell biology
· You have multiple years of experience and expertise in the subject and as a researcher
· Experience with animal models is desirable
· You will work in an innovative academic environment where groundbreaking research takes place

You hold a PhD in (bio)chemistry or molecular cell biology. You have expertise in biochemistry and multiple years of experience. Experience with animal models is desirable. You are highly motivated with proven research abilities and an excellent publication record. Furthermore, you are willing and able to work both independently and also collaboratively as part of a team. You are also capable of having a leading role in research projects and supervise other (PhD) researchers. You will be employed on the basis of 36 hours per week. Appointment is for two years. Your salary is based on your education and experience and is a maximum of € 4,481 gross per month for a full time position (scale 10 in the Collective Labour Agreement for University Hospitals).
