Postdoc Human Genetics
A postdoc position is open for an exciting research project at the LUMC in collaboration with a pharmaceutical company aiming to develop antibodies-based therapy to adult muscle degeneration. If you want to help find a new product that could help patients, this is the right job for you!

The project is a research collaboration between the lab of Vered Raz and a pharmaceutical company. As a postdoc you will screen molecules as candidate drugs to reduced muscle function in vitro (cell models) and in mouse models. You will need to develop the project so a creative mind is a pre. Communication will predominantly be in English.
· You have a recent PhD degree Molecular Biology, Genetics or related studies
· Experience in cloning (expression systems), RNA and protein procedures is required.
· You have extensive experience with cell biology and in high-throughput imaging-based screens
· You have experience in mouse physiology and histology, and are in possession of ‘Article 12/13f’ that allows you to work with mouse models
· You are communicative, well organized, independent and willing to supervise
We are looking for a candidate who has extensive experience with cell biology and molecular biology. Experience in high-throughput imaging screens is also important. Since you will be working with mouse models, an article 12/13f qualification and experience in mouse physiology and histology are necessary. You should be highly motivated, creative and willing to supervise. Within this project most communication will be in English, so fluency in English and excellent communication and organisational skills are essential.
You will be employed on the basis of 36 hours per week. Appointment is for one year, with a possible extension for an additional year. Your salary is based on your education and experience and is a maximum of € 4,615 gross per month for a full time position (scale 10 in the Collective Labour Agreement for University Hospitals).
