How can we optimize our demand/supply planning processes? How can we help the team get better to enhance performance? Questions we ask ourselves daily, and that’s where you come in.
As an Asset Planner you will be responsible for balancing supply/demand and optimize inventory levels of one of more Polyolefins assets (production plants). You will manage the day to day supply plan execution and allocation process to ensure the requested sales volume is available as per business requirements at the lowest cost. You will also coordinate response to operational issues/opportunities consistent with our business strategy and constraints. Furthermore, you are responsible for translating an optimized supply plan into a monthly production volume and schedule for relevant assets.
The stakeholders you partner with in supply planning and plan execution are monomer, manufacturing, supply chain, asset management sales, marketing and customer service.
Projects and Improvements:
Becoming fluent with our operations and processes allows you to identify and suggest improvement possibilities. Also you take part in our effort to continuously improve our use of our planning tools: SAP IBP and reporting. In this role you combine you’re process knowledge, curiosity and intrinsic motivation to drive these initiatives with the S&OP Manager.
This is who you are
You are experienced with demand and supply planning and like to learn and understand new processes. You are looking for a next step in your career in supply chain management. Eager to learn and to grow. You are also keen on working with planning systems (SAP, SAP IBP) and other reporting tools such as Power BI. You’re using your skills and these tools to the execute our current demand/supply planning processes and support our team by participating in project and improvement initiatives. Self-starter and prepared to take on challenges. Next to the operational responsibilities, you must be able to support/start projects and get things done!
This is what you bring
- A Bachelor or master’s degree in business required
- 3-5 years’ experience in a supply chain/logistics or demand and supply planning or manufacturing environment
- APICS CPIM very welcome
- Excellent working knowledge of ERP systems (SAP/APO) and Integrated Business Planning software
- Advanced PC skills including Microsoft Excel and/or Power BI
- Experience in Chemical is not required but can be helpful
- Analytical and good communication skills
- Can move from concept to practical application
- English fluently, Dutch, German or French highly preferred
- Team player
