In this position you are responsible for ensuring service, technical support and education for Shimano Europe and its customers. You will ensure correct handling of complaints, liability issues, replacement actions, recalls, quality procedures and technical feedback to the organization in order to secure the compliance with quality standards and customer expectations. You will observe, report and influence the development of new standards in line with the production requirements and possibilities of Shimano and in line with legislation. You are responsible for managing and developing the team (5-6 people) in order to enable them to realize their team goals. You will closely cooperate with distributors, OEM’s and the internal organization by using different communication sources (including webinars, social media, etc.). You will report to the Marketing Director of Shimano Europe.
Shimano is looking for an independent manager with intercultural awareness and sensitivity. You are a great team worker who takes ownership. Strong analytical capabilities and able to communicate on different levels. Your profile:
- Bachelor degree in a technical direction.
- Several years of experience in a similar position and leading a technical department.
- Knows what it is to work with technical standards, product liability and norming issues.
- International experience and affinity with the bike industry are both a big plus.
- Fluent in English and German; Dutch is a plus.
The Manager Customer Service & Technical Support will work from the office in Eindhoven. Travelling takes approximately 25% of the role, mainly to HQ Japan, bike makers, distributors, dealers and events.
