You will be part of a team of biostatisticians responsible for setting high standards of methodological quality for research in the Radboud university medical center. You will do this by advising (bio)medical researchers how to design experiments and to analyze data and by training (bio)medical students in statistics. Interest and experience in statistical and medical research is considered an asset. Good knowledge of the Dutch language is preferred.
You hold a PhD or MSc in (bio)statistics or a closely related subject. You have experience in offering statistical consulting to (bio)medical researchers, and you have teaching experience. You have strong communicative skills in English and you speak Dutch or are willing to learn Dutch on a short notice, if applicable.
Terms of employment
- 36 hours per week, fewer hours are negotiable.
- Scale 11-12: max € 76088 gross per year at full employment (incl. vacation bonus and end of year payments)
- Upon commencement of employment we require a certificate of conduct (Verklaring Omtrent het Gedrag, VOG). Radboud university medical center’s HR Department will apply for this certificate on your behalf.
- The first selection will take place on in the week of 4 September and job interviews on 21 September 2017.

The section Biostatistics consists of 13 statisticians (including vacancy) with various specializations. The group works in close collaboration with many research departments throughout the medical center, as well as with the Applied Stochastics group of Prof. Eric Cator at the Mathematics department of Radboud University. Biostatistics is part of the Department for Health Evidence, together with the sections Cancer Epidemiology, Health Technology Assessment, and Reproduction Epidemiology and Risk Assessment, offering a multidisciplinary environment for methodological research in medicine.
