Dentistry at Radboud university medical center: Oral Care of the Future
We are now training the dentists of 2032. The future of our profession is determined by the patient, technological developments and the sustainability of our current healthcare system. New materials, advanced insights, future mobile devices and 3D technology have a role in this future. Oral care is inextricably linked to overall health and well-being; dentists can no longer work in isolation from other disciplines. This requires taking a position in primary healthcare as part of a multidisciplinary team. To take account of these developments and play a meaningful role in them, the scope of the medical expertise of dentists must increase enormously. The mission of Radboud university medical center is to have 'a significant impact on healthcare'. For Dentistry in particular, this means a 'significant impact on oral healthcare': focusing on the future, taking and maintaining a leading position in the discipline with a unique curriculum, and innovating in healthcare and research. We are now building an organization that can face these challenges, and we are looking for the right people to join us.
