Job description
As the Manager of Mergers and Acquisitions, you will be responsible for the origination and execution of projects in the organisation, both in The Netherlands and abroad. Within this role, you will work independently, alongside internal legal and tax support. If necessary, you will also be supported by external advisors. You will work within the strategy of IHC and connect proactively with the businesses and support functions in the Royal IHC group of companies. You will also coordinate post-transaction integration. In addition to your daily activities, you will be involved in hands-on business activities post-transaction, and complete other duties in between transactions. You will report directly to the CEO, and be based in Kinderdijk, The Netherlands, with frequent opportunities for travel. Within this role, your duties will include the following:

  • managing project execution, including initial assessment of opportunities against the strategic agenda, transaction structuring and valuation, selection of external advisors, transaction management, post-merger integration planning and obtaining required approvals
  • continuously researching and evaluating target companies
  • monitoring and updating the Mergers and Acquisition funnel
  • developing strategic rationales for transactions and executing financial analysis
  • preparing presentations and investment proposals for the Executive and Supervisory Board
  • assisting with the integration of newly acquired companies or with disintegration in case of divestments.


Job requirements
To be eligible for this role, you will have a minimum of five years’ experience in a banking, top-tier accountancy or private equity environment.
