At Samsung Electronics Europe Logistics (SELS), we are currently searching for an Operations Professional with strong analytical and communication skills to join the European Operations Center (‘EOC’), located in Delft, the Netherlands.
As our new colleague, you will be joining a lean and dynamic team responsible for the governance and development of the European logistics operations for Samsung Electronics. You will directly report to the senior manager within the EOC department. This challenging position has a broad scope covering multiple logistics and supply chain areas, such as: Operations Excellence & Performance, Analytics & Reporting, Project Coordination and Sourcing.
In this role, you will closely cooperate with European sales subsidiaries and logistics providers (4PL, 3PL) to monitor day-to-day operations and to translate (new) business requirements into reliable and agile solutions. By analyzing and benchmarking quality and costs performances you will determine the best and most efficient logistics services possible. Your passion for numbers and analytics is evident. You are able to combine a variety of data from multiple sources and systems (cost metrics, cost trends, business analysis, logistics parameters, actual vs. budget, forecast, etc.) and develop standard reporting and analytic tools.
As for sourcing and procurement, you will work together with the 4PL procurement team during RFQ or renewal of Service Level Agreements, in order to evaluate criteria and advise on selection of 3PL partners. You will report your findings to management and stakeholders, in which you include your proposals for innovations and corrective actions. Your responsibility will furthermore encompass the support or lead implementation projects.
- Bachelor/Master’s degree in Logistics or Supply Chain Management
- Between 4-7 years of relevant experience in Logistics
- Fluent written and spoken English
- Ability to interact and effectively communicate with people from diverse backgrounds
- Strong (data) analytical and software skills (i.a. Excel/Access, Data analytics applications, ERP)
- Experience in project management
- Solution oriented and pragmatic
- Willing to travel, mainly within Europe (approx. 15%)
