Functieomschrijving

Responsibilities:

  • Follow up on market and competitor development, by collecting and analysing data. To ensure appropriate and achievable objectives within the sales plan, and that objectives are aligned with the product line and market/customer needs
  • Translate market -, product - and competitors - knowledge to objectives per customer (key account), market segment and product line, while considering the revenue guidelines obtained by Sonneborn organization
  • Visit customers, accomplish sales meeting, and provide customers with the necessary product -, application -, and technical support. Develop and follow up on proposition
  • Communicate changes in sales contracts to the internal organization and monitor sales patterns. Responsible for keeping clients’ files and pricelists up to date
  • Maintain and optimize the contacts with existing and new customers, make sure complaints are handled accordingly

Functie-eisen

  • Seasoned sales professional with 7-15 years of working experience
  • Experience in B2B chemicals or ingredients environment
  • High level in French, (Dutch) and English
  • Business savvy. Commercial acumen
  • Sales professional (Hunter 60%+ farmer 40%)
  • Regional focus will be on Southern Europe (France, Spain, Italy, Portugal), so the ability to understand and to project oneself into different cultures is important
  • Ability to connect with (key) customers at all levels within an organization (from operational levels to key decision makers)
  • Knows how to create right atmosphere for strong relationships while building and growing the business
  • An active distributor manager who drive new business development by training and coaching
  • Excellent team player and communicator
  • Self-sufficient, self-motivating, drive to meet with people/customers
  • Based out of Amsterdam
  • Active traveller for approx. 30% of time spent
  • Bachelor/Master degree

Sonneborn Refined Products is a world leader in the manufacturing and supply of high-purity specialty hydrocarbons for use in pharmaceutical, personal care and industrial marketplaces. Customers include some of the world’s most recognizable FMCG brands. To expand the business in (East) Africa the Amsterdam Business Unit (180 FTE) of Sonneborn is looking for a Sales Manager in this area.
