Functieomschrijving

You will contribute to scaling our fast growing Advanced Applications business line and promote and develop the sales activities, launching of new products and concepts in all countries of the region. This includes ensuring accurate and profitable sales operations to customer demands.

Your position as Head of Advanced Applications

In your role you will:

  • Report directly to the Senior Vice President in the region Benelux, UK, Scandinavia with a dotted reporting line to the Senior Director Advanced Applications based in Hamburg, Germany (functional report)
  • Be part of the international Advanced Applications team
  • Work closely with the Head of Sales, Head of Product service and Head of Fleet services and managing directors of the subsidiaries in the region Benelux, UK and Scandinavia
  • Be part of the Management Team of the region Benelux, UK and Scandinavia

This role will offer you the opportunity to:

  • Work together with the country division managers in the region on achievement of the sales targets and KPI’s in order to ensure the achievement of the company targets
  • Validate the country division manager’s action plans with regard to division targets in collaboration with the Managing Director
  • Ensure a high level of customer’s satisfaction in the region
  • Improve the business through sharing “best practice” and creating a “learning-curve” in the region and the business line throughout the STILL group
  • Moderate, coordinate and support, there where it is necessary, in the interface of country subsidiaries and the business line Advanced Applications in Hamburg
  • Keep track of challenging, international and strategic projects for high profile customers, often in close collaboration with international colleagues from our sales team

Fields of activity:

  • Overall responsible for reaching objectives (KPIs) for the region (e.g. sales, cost evaluation, different margins, market coverage, stock, utilization rate, contractual compliance …)
  • Planning and managing division projects in the region or within the business line Advanced Application in Hamburg
  • Further development of the product portfolio
  • Budgeting revenue, costs and headcounts for the division in the region in cooperation with the subsidiaries
  • Responsibility for the follow up of the strategy and projects

Functie-eisen

  • University degree in engineering, economics or logistics
  • Experience in intralogistics or concept development with the focus on warehouse planning, automation, fleet optimisation, design of logistics systems
  • Strong negotiations skills
  • Willingness to travel to the Benelux, UK, Scandinavia, Germany
  • Good English speaker (it is a must, a native speaker is a plus)
  • Excellent communication skills, organizational talent and enjoying overview oriented tasks
  • Able to manage time effectively and work under strict deadlines
  • Good understanding of and able to adapt into different cultures
  • A high stress resistance level
  • Experience in project management
