The Assistant/Associate Professor of New Product/Service Marketing will conduct research and publish on the interfaces between marketing, innovation, and design. He or she will also lecture in our three-year bachelor program and in our two-year Master program in Strategic Product Design (SPD), which has been selected repeatedly by Business Week as one of the most innovative design programs in the world. Our section is very active in developing MOOCS (such as Design Practice in Business), and on-line Master Classes (such as Design Leadership, and New Product Marketing). The candidate will also supervise students in their final graduation project, which can either be research- or company-based.
You have a PhD and teaching experience in marketing and/or innovation management. We are looking for candidates with expertise in areas such as marketing strategy for new products/services, digital (big data) marketing, service marketing, marketing communications, technology marketing, adoption and diffusion of innovations, and branding of new products/services. We would especially encourage applications from candidates with a quantitative background, and teaching and/or research experience in the areas of big data and marketing analytics.
At the start of the tenure-track you will be appointed as Assistant/Associate Professor for the duration of six years. Section leader, department leaders and you will agree upon expected performance and (soft) skills. You will receive formal feedback on performance and skills during annual assessment meetings and the mid-term evaluation. If the performance and skills are evaluated positively at the end of the tenure track, you will be appointed in a permanent Assistant Professor position.
