We invite applications for both junior (tenure-track) and senior faculty positions. Research in the Department of Bionanoscience is aimed at a quantitative, mechanistic understanding of how interactions at the nanoscale lead to biological function at the cellular scale. Having established major strengths in single-molecule biophysics, nanotechnology, synthetic biology, and microbiology, the Department is particularly eager to further expand in the area of quantitative (mammalian) cell biology. We welcome research proposals in areas such as chromatin/DNA/RNA biology, organelle biology, developmental biology, advanced sequencing approaches, and advanced imaging techniques. However, other areas of quantitative biology that complement and strengthen our current research efforts will also be considered. Attractive start-up packages are offered at all levels of seniority.
