The MSc-program Civil Engineering is currently undergoing major changes. Next to a more modular structure of the curriculum, a new MSc-track Civil Engineering Materials is being developed. Also, a new MSc-program Environmental Engineering will start as of 2022/2023, in which environmental footprint, circularity and recycling potential of civil engineering structures, materials and processes will be important topics.
Especially for this restructuring, we are looking for a junior lecturer (0,8 fte). We also have the option of hiring 2 lecturers with both a 0.4fte position, which means, applying for less hours is also possible. Next to teaching, your tasks will be preparing educational material and exercises and coordinating group assignments and practical work. You shall also contribute to renewal of existing educational material, digitalization of the current material, and organizing assessments of the assignments of students.
We are looking for a candidate who:
- Holds an MSc in Civil Engineering or Environmental Engineering.
- Has a passion for and is capable of transferring knowledge in the fields civil engineering materials, including environmental aspects, and structural mechanics.
- Has a proactive and enthusiastic attitude.
- Has good communication skills, and both Dutch and English proficiency skills.
- Is interested in performing this job for a period of maximally three years.
The duration of contract is 3 years. Salary and benefits are in accordance with the Collective Labour Agreement for Dutch Universities (Salary indication: € 2.836,00 - € 4.474,00).
