The PhD position is focused on research aimed at efficient Deep Learning training in combination with motion analysis and / or task anticipation: future frame/class/appearance prediction.
The candidate will be working in the Computer Vision Lab (CV lab) of Pattern Recognition and Bio-informatics (PRB) group and will be supervised by Silvia Pintea.
The candidate is encouraged to work in close collaboration with other members from the PRB group, and especially the CV lab.
In Artificial Intelligence or Engineering / Computer Science or a similar field, with:
- A strong background in Computer Vision, Image Processing and Machine Learning.
- Good programming skills and familiarity with python.
- Strong mathematical background (especially linear algebra and calculus).
- Good presentation and writing skills and a good English level.
- High creativity and problem-solving skills.
TU Delft offers PhD-candidates a 4-year contract, with an official go/no go progress assessment after one year. Salary and benefits are in accordance with the Collective Labour Agreement for Dutch Universities, increasing from € 2395 per month in the first year to € 3061 in the fourth year.
