The chair Membrane Materials and Processes (MM/P) at the department of Chemical Engineering and Chemistry at Eindhoven University of Technology (TU/e) focuses on the design and development of polymer membranes to separate molecular mixtures in the area of water and energy with a strong emphasis on the recovery and reuse of materials and resources in a circular economy. Its research program aims at tailoring membrane chemistry and morphology to control mass transport in sustainable process applications. The chair combines and integrates material science and process technology. Next to fundamental academic research, application-oriented research in close collaboration with the process industry is stimulated.
You are expected to develop and explore your own research profile within the research group Membrane Materials and Processes. You will supervise BSc-, MSc-, PDEng and PhD-students and publish articles in prominent peer-reviewed international scientific journals. You will apply for personal grants and will contribute actively to acquire (inter)national research projects from both EU/NL-government and industry-supported programs. You will build and maintain a network of academic and industrial contacts and will actively contribute to the innovative training programs in the area of chemical engineering and chemistry of the department of Chemical Engineering & Chemistry.
We are looking for an enthusiastic and motivated scientist and colleague who wishes to continue his/her career at the TU/e in an inspiring and dynamic faculty with a stimulating research environment. We look for candidates with a PhD in chemical engineering or a related field and a background in process technology, preferably with proven expertise in the area of membrane technology.
You have several years of (international) experience as a researcher, preferably both in an academic and industrial environment, with a proven track record of high-quality research, publications and patents and in obtaining research grants at an internationally excellent standard.
You have a demonstrable talent for research, supervision and coaching of students and researchers and are capable of collaborating in an international context.
You have excellent communication skills and fluency in English is a prerequisite.
You are an enthusiastic lecturer and are able to contribute to the chemical technology training program in the TU/e Bachelor College and Graduate School.

Furthermore we offer:A gross monthly salary between € 3.475 and € 5.405 based on a full-time appointment and based on background and experience; plus a yearly 8% holiday allowance and an 8.3% end-of-year allowance;
