MEDIOR PROJECT LEADER CIRCULAR ECONOMY | UTRECHT

LOCATION:
Utrecht
EDUCATION TYPE: university (wo)
TYPE: Vacancies
HOURS A WEEK: Fulltime – 40

WHAT WILL YOU BE DOING?
Research projects focus on the development of recycling technologies, the designing of new circular chains, and the development of measurement and detection systems. Companies, knowledge institutions and public authorities cooperate on these projects. Project teams cover various fields of expertise (technical, economic, policy and behavioural scientists). You have a technical (beta) background, but is essentially able to establish links with other disciplines.

WHAT DO WE REQUIRE OF YOU?
You have experience in project management and good communication skills. You have relevant training, e.g. in exact sciences, as well as a great affinity for the notion of circularity in economy. You have developed a broad overview of circular technologies and chains and have a strong quantitative approach. You are able to give direction to a project team and maintain relationships with clients and stakeholders. You have developed an (inter)national network with clients and knowledge institutions and have the drive to play a key role in acquisition processes.

WHAT CAN YOU EXPECT OF YOUR WORK SITUATION?

The function falls under the Climate, Air & Sustainability research group, which is part of the Circular Economy & Environment Unit. The research group looks for solutions to issues around sustainability, resource efficiency, climate change and air quality, while keeping account of economic, social and technological developments and how these affect energy supply, industrial production and urban environments.
We are able to quantify and compare the environmental impact of production processes and product chains. TNO is thus able to support companies and public authorities on their way to sustainability. We also advise companies on strategic choices to make their product portfolio more sustainable. TNO works both for national and international clients.

WHAT CAN TNO OFFER YOU?

Work enjoyment means something different for each employee. This is why we offer a-la-carte terms and conditions of employment that you can switch around on a monthly basis. Flexible working hours (like 4 days x 9 hours) and different leave schemes mean that you can create a package attuned to your specific wishes.
TNO attaches great value to both your personal and your professional development. Many opportunities exist for you to develop: conferences, courses, workshops, coaching, intervision, mentoring and job rotation. At TNO you can orchestrate your own career.

APPLICATION PROCESS

You can apply till the 6th of January 2019. The first round of interviews is scheduled on the 15th of January. The process comprises at least two (selection) rounds. After a positive selection, we will finish off the process by discussing terms and conditions of employment. We try to complete the interviews within 4 weeks.
