The Department of Organisation, Strategy and Entrepreneurship (OSE) at Maastricht University is excited to welcome new colleagues who are keen to continue growing our research and to keep up our excellent standard of education.
The Department of Organisation, Strategy and Entrepreneurship (OSE) at the School of Business and Economics (SBE) of Maastricht University is looking for entrepreneurship scholars to join our team. We have two positions on offer. One will be in Social and/or Sustainable (Eco-) Entrepreneurship. In addition, we are interested to hear from entrepreneurship scholars with an interest in entrepreneurial processes more generally (for instance related to digitalisation, internationalisation). We are also aiming to increase our qualitative research expertise. We combine a strong commitment to excellent research and research-based education, with a focus on societal impact.
We offer a dynamic and challenging job in an internationally oriented organisation. The candidate will be part of the School’s international network of top universities and renowned scholars. OSE has strong collaborations with other institutes and departments at Maastricht University and elsewhere and offers a collegiate working environment.
You have a PhD degree in entrepreneurship and preferably a few years of post-doctoral experience in an academic context. International peer reviewed articles are forthcoming or part of your portfolio.
You have a proven interest and expertise in social and sustainable entrepreneurship, and entrepreneurial processes more generally. Experience with qualitative or fieldwork-oriented research is an advantage and familiarity with grant acquisition and valorisation of research is an asset.
You are an experienced and enthusiastic teacher. Experience with course development and thesis supervision is a strength. You are able to stimulate student learning and to maximize student participation in our system of small-scale problem-based learning (PBL). Experience with teaching in international classrooms is preferable.
The department appreciates an open mind to multidisciplinary research, and the ambition to combine academic rigor with societal relevance. Teamwork and good citizenship are highly valued. We expect any candidate to create significant synergies and positive externalities, both within the department and SBE as with other faculties and non-academic stakeholders.
Fluent English language skills, both orally and in writing are required.
We offer a position (1.0 FTE) as Assistant Professor (universitair docent), starting at the latest on the 1st of September 2022. Upon satisfactory performance in the one-and-a-half-year period, this initially 18 months position will become permanent.
We offer a salary as stipulated in the Collective Labour Agreement of the Dutch Universities. Within this framework, we offer a competitive salary with a minimum of € 3.821 and a maximum of € 5.943 per month (depending on your experience) for a full-time position of 38 hours/week. On top of this, there is an annual holiday allowance (8% of annual income) and an annual end-of-year bonus (8.3% of annual income).
You must be willing to move to (the vicinity of) Maastricht. Depending on your personal situation, you will be eligible for an allowance for moving costs. Other secondary conditions include a pension scheme and partially paid parental leave.
