The Department of Health Services Research is offering a PhD position on the EU project “ProgrammE in Costing, resource use measurement and outcome valuation for Use in multi-sectoral National and International health economic evaluAtions” (PECUNIA).
You will be part of the project “ProgrammE in Costing, resource use measurement and outcome valuation for Use in multi-sectoral National and International health economic evaluAtions” (PECUNIA) which has been funded by the European Union. The international PECUNIA consortium is a unique network of ten partners from six countries with relevant complementary methodological expertise. PECUNIA aims to harmonise methods and standardise tools for the comprehensive measurement and valuation of economic, societal and wellbeing impacts within a multi-sectoral economic evaluation. You will be the junior researcher of this project and you will have the following main tasks i) Standardize the measurement of inter-sectoral costs t with a focus on the educational and criminal justice sector, ii) standardize the valuation of these (and other relevant) intersectoral costs within economic evaluations and iii) provide country-specific contributions for PECUNIA for the Netherlands together with Erasmus University Rotterdam.
For this project you will be working within the department of Health Services Research of the Faculty of Health, Medicine and Life Sciences (Dr. Paulus and Prof. Evers) and closely work together with the department of Clinical Epidemiology and Medical Technology Assessment of the Maastricht University Medical Center + (Prof. Dirksen).

Temporary employment for 4 years.
Your salary would be € 2.222,-- gross per month in the first year up to € 2.840,-- gross per month in the fourth year according to the PhD-student salary scale.
Each year an evaluation will take place.
An evaluation will take place at the final stage of the selection procedure. The aim here is that both the assessment committee, as well as the applicant, together are able to ensure a well-informed deliberation in order to commence the PhD trajectory.
