The division of Mental Health, Maastricht University, is looking for a motivated Research Assistant with a background in Psychology or a related field (e.g. Mental Health, Psychiatry, Health Sciences), who will be based in the Randstad (AMC, De Bascule, Parnassia) to work on a randomized controlled trial that aims to investigate the efficacy of a novel, ecological momentary intervention for improving self-esteem (‘SELFIE’) in help-seeking youth with prior exposure to childhood trauma. The SELFIE project has a vacancy for a Research Assistant position, who will take on a central role in the recruitment for this study.
The successful candidate has a Master degree in Psychology or a related field (e.g. Mental Health, Psychiatry, Health Sciences) and a strong interest in the evaluation of novel interventions for traumatized youth. We are looking for an innovative, hard-working and creative personality, with excellent communication, writing, and organizational skills, who is able and willing to work independently as well in an interdisciplinary research team. Experience with recruitment and assessment in the context of a randomized controlled trial, traumatized populations, experience sampling methodology mobile health interventions and in the field of clinical psychology, youth mental health and/or epigenetics is an advantage. Further, clinical experience working with people with mental health problems is desirable. The candidate should have a very good command of Dutch (both written and oral).
The terms of employment of Maastricht University are set out in the Collective Labour Agreement of Dutch Universities (CAO). Furthermore, local UM provisions also apply.
