The program is a collaboration between experimental and mathematical imaging groups at the University of Twente, Delft University of Technology and Eindhoven University of Technology. You will be part of the Biomedical Photonic Imaging group of the University of Twente, while the Physics of Fluids group of our university will be a strong collaboration partner.
Your research will focus on photoacoustic imaging for quantitative detection of markers such as blood oxygenation, and the concentration of endogenous chromophores and contrast agents.
You are expected to perform research of high quality, and contribute to making the project a success. Furthermore you will contribute to the teaching activities of our group.
We are looking for a skilled experimentalist with a PhD degree in Biomedical Engineering, Electrical Engineering or Applied Physics. Experience with biomedical optics and imaging methods, especially ultrasound, photoacoustics or acoustooptics is desirable. Our favored candidate is creative and likes to push boundaries.
