Your role will be to develop an optical method to measure human milk composition. The overall goal of the project is to apply this method as a point-of-care solution for the personalized fortification of human milk in premature infants. Within the project, you will collaborate closely with health care professionals from the Medisch Spectrum Twente and lactating mothers.

  • You have at least an MSc degree in Biomedical Engineering, Applied Physics or Electrical Engineering. Applications by recently graduated PhDs will also be considered.
  • You have affinity with optics and photonics.
  • Experience with light scattering methodologies is an advantage, in particular Multi Angle Light Scattering.
  • You have excellent communication skills and you can employ these skills for an effective collaboration with health care professionals and lactating mothers.
