(Junior) LECTURER Human Resource Studies (0.8 - 1.0 FTE)
The Department of Human Resource Studies of Tilburg School of Social and Behavioral Sciences is looking for a (junior) Lecturer Human Resource Studies (0.8 - 1.0 FTE).

The main task in the first year of a lecturer 4 position is to teach seminars (workgroups) and tutorials in several HRS Bachelor and Premaster courses, like: Introduction to HRM, Kernvragen van Personeelwetenschappen, Strategic HRM and Work and Health Psychology. You will receive hands-on training before you get started, weekly feedback and instruction sessions to prepare each week’s teaching. In the then following years, you will coordinate (parts of) courses and become involved in course development. Part of your contract is dedicated to your development. This involves following teaching qualification courses, participation in one of the HRS research labs and/ or the People Management center, and active career mentoring by one of the senior HRS staff members. All in all, the job compares to an academic traineeship which prepares for a career in teaching (HBO), practice (consulting, strategic HRM), or research.
We are looking for an ambitious proactive lecturer with a (nearly finished) Master’s or PhD degree in Human Resource Studies, who likes to interact with students and likes the role of tutor. Affinity and experience with teaching and experience with the coaching of students are highly appreciated. Fluency in spoken English and excellent writing skills in English.

Depending on the candidates’ experience, the salary for this position on a full-time basis ranges between € 2,790 and € 4,402 gross per month based on scale 10 of the Collective Labour Agreement (CAO) Dutch Universities (not included are various allowances). For this position a one-year contract applies. In the event of proven suitability, the contract may be extended with two years. The starting date is as soon as possible, but no later than January 1, 2021.
