We are looking for an excellent candidate who aims to establish an independent and extramurally-funded research program that fits within one or more of the department’s three research themes: cardiac and skeletal myopathies, atrial fibrillation and heart failure, microvascular dysfunction in failing and ageing hearts.
Successful evaluation of the tenure track (max. 4 years) will lead to a tenured position at the level of assistant/associate professor.
We aim for a candidate at senior post-doctoral level (3-6 years of post-doctoral experience), with a past performance of publications in internationally recognized journals and proven ability to attract grants for his/her research. International experience as well as capacity to interact with the research themes within the department is highly recommended.
Candidates are invited to send their curriculum vitae, including previous research experience and a short outline of their future research line. As part of the procedure, selected candidates are invited to write an in-depth proposal of their innovative research line that they wish to carry out within the department. The proposal will be presented during an interview with members from the Physiology department and external committee members.
Salary Scale 11: 3672 tot 5040 euro gross when employed full-time (depending on qualifications and experience).
Depending on qualifications and experience scale 12 is considered.
