Build and scale a profitable, data‑driven service organization
This is not an optimization role, but a build assignment with global scope. You will create structure, teams and recurring revenue models where they are still emerging, with direct impact on customers and profitability.
The Global Services & Lifecycle Manager takes ownership of the entire customer lifecycle after delivery, including installation, commissioning, service delivery and the development of recurring service and software revenue.
The assignment is to create structure, systems, teams and governance where these are still maturing and to turn service into a scalable, data‑driven business with clear commercial impact.
You report into the COO level and operate with group‑wide mandate.
Key responsibilities
- Define and execute a global services strategy, covering:
- preventive & predictive maintenance
- calibration and performance assurance
- spare parts, upgrades and retrofits
- software support and digital / data‑driven services
- Own installation & commissioning globally and use this as the foundation for long‑term service contracts
- Professionalize service operations:
- incident & problem management
- ticketing systems, SLAs, KPIs and reporting
- Build recurring revenue models and manage a services P&L
- Leverage installed‑base and machine data to improve uptime, insights and customer value
- Lead and develop international teams:
- Netherlands (applications & data analysts)
- India (field service engineers)
- Germany (Leipzig)
- Planned expansion in the USA
- Act as executive owner of customer experience, including key customers and escalations
- Work closely with Sales, Engineering, Product Management and Operations to embed service thinking into products and commercial decisions
Practical information
- Working language: English
- German is a strong plus
- Dutch not required
- Travel: international travel a few times per year
Functie-eisen
- 15+ years of experience in global service, lifecycle, operations or technical services leadership within high‑tech or capital equipment environments
- Proven track record in building or scaling recurring service and/or software revenue
- Strong people manager with experience leading international, distributed teams
- Solid technical understanding combined with commercial drive
- Experience with KPIs, governance and P&L responsibility
- Entrepreneurial mindset: comfortable building from scratch and creating structure
- Engineering or technical background preferred

Compensation:
- €100,000 – €120,000
- EBITDA‑based bonus
