What are you going to do?

  • Contribute to the development of the research group through innovative research and develop your own independent research line.
  • Acquire independent funding from sources such as the national funding agency NWO (e.g. VIDI), EU funding via H2020 (e.g. ERC starting grant) and industry.
  • (Co-)supervise the group’s postdocs, PhD students and MSc students.
  • Contribute to strengthening the curriculum in AI and healthcare of the Bachelor and Master AI and related programmes such as the interfaculty AI for Health track; teaching is approximately 50% of the position’s total time.
  • Contribute to outreach, both in terms of engaging with industrial and (inter)national academic partners as well as supporting the group’s activity for the integration of AI solutions in clinical workflow. UvA spinoffs that bring technology to industry and society are highly encouraged.
