FunctieomschrijvingAre you keen to work with students? Would you like to make sure the quality of our education is top of the bill? Do you have a background in Food Technology? We have a vacancy for a Research and Education Assistant in Wageningen University and Research (WUR). Will you join us?
What will you be doing?
We are looking for a colleague at academic level to help coordinating and to co-supervise various courses offered by3 of our laboratories. You will help us to further develop learning materials that facilitate increasing student numbers. Furthermore, you are involved in practical courses and supervision of group work.
You will develop (e-learning) material in collaboration with academic staff members. You will introduce these new materials in our current campus education (lab classes, tutorials, BSc thesis materials), mainly as supervisor. Furthermore, you will evaluate new materials and make improvements where necessary. Besides supervision of tutorials / lab classes as part of our courses, you will also be involved in grading (lab) reports and exams.
- An MSc degree in Food Technology, preferably in Food Chemistry, Food Physics, or Food Process Engineering;
- experience in project management and more important, you are good at it;
- an eye for opportunities to continuously improve education;
- didactic skills and enthusiasm for working with students;
- knowledge on various aspects of foods (chemistry, process engineering, physics);
- a good sense of humour.
