Lecturer in mathematics (wiskunde) in Dutch
The Department of Technology and Operations Management (TOM) at Rotterdam School of Management, Erasmus University Rotterdam (RSM) seeks candidates to fill a temporary lecturer position in mathematics (docent wiskunde) at undergraduate level for our business administration students. The course is to be taught in Dutch. The appointment is from 1 August until 31 December, 2018.
This means you will be expected to teach an undergraduate course in mathematics in the autumn trimester of 2018, prepare exams and are responsible for all related work.
Candidates should (preferably) have
a PhD in mathematics, applied mathematics or related discipline
relevant teaching qualifications.
The conditions of employment comply with the collective labour agreement for Dutch universities (CAO NU). Salary is subject to training and experience, and may vary from €2,588 (scale 10) up to €4,757 (scale 11) gross per month, based on a full-time contract. Erasmus University Rotterdam has attractive employment conditions, which include a holiday allowance of 8 per cent, an end-of-year bonus of 8.3 per cent, and a generous number of vacation days.
