About the position
As Funding Officer, you are part of the new Research, Innovation and Advancement Office. This brand-new department is a hub connecting DAE to regional, national and international partners. In your role as Funding Officer, you work in a team that is continuously involved in the promotion of external collaborations and the participation in projects. Together with your team, you create opportunities for connections for the DAE education and research with the (international) professional field. As Funding Officer, you advise and inspire the DAE professorships and the Executive Board about seizing opportunities for new projects and investing in new collaborations. This can include forging internal and external links, forming regional and international networks, advising and supervising the fleshing-out of project ideas to complete project proposals and finance requests with provincial, national and European authorities. In addition to the aforementioned tasks, you coordinate the accountability process for the various DAE grants.

About the team
We have an ambitious plan for the expansion and development of our research department for the coming years. To support future regional, national and international projects, we are setting up the Research Innovation and Advancement office. This will bring together research and funding, and will also focus on strengthening our connections with professionals and other institutes.


What you will bring to the team
Our desired Funding Officer disposes academic abilities and intellect and has experience with grants and fundraising (Horizon2020, Erasmus+) within higher (art) education. We also expect that:

  • You have an excellent spoken and written command of Dutch and English;
  • You are a skilled adviser and base your work on research and planning, which enables you to formulate clear instructions for external file writers;
  • You are skilled in the initiation, boosting and supervision of project proposals and grant applications;
  • You can work well both independently and as part of a team;
  • You have a hands-on attitude;
  • You are curious, you have vision and dispose of the ability to convince others;
  • You are energized by a dynamic and changing environment, allowing you to quickly switch between different activities, tasks and stakeholders.

Our offer
We offer you a challenging position in an international and dynamic working environment. This is a part-time position for 32 hours a week. Salary indication €4,250 to €5,717 gross per month based on a full-time (36 hours/week) position (salary scale 12). Employment terms in line with the collective wage agreement CAO-HBO, including holiday pay of 8% and an 8.3% year-end bonus. You will be offered a temporary contract for the duration of one year with a view to an extension.

The submission of a VOG (a certificate of good behaviour) is a requirement for accepting a position with Design Academy Eindhoven.
