EDLAB is the Maastricht University institute for education innovation and promotes an optimal learning experience for students of Maastricht University, by advancing the field of teaching and learning for both students and staff. It was founded in April 2015 and is located at the Tapijn barracks.
As a Project Coordinator Innovation at EDLAB you will be coordinating and facilitating education innovation projects and organise activities that support the quality of education at Maastricht University (UM). Your work will address themes related to UM education such as PBL, instructional design, self-regulated learning, assessment and international classroom.
Tasks
Coordination and assistance in EDLAB’s education innovation projects.
Organise events and activities for the UM community.
Connecting UM staff involved in education innovation.
Aggregation of UM education innovation topics, educational needs and translation thereof into EDLAB activities.
Manage contacts with EDLAB student-assistants.
Requirements
Master’s degree.
Project-coordination experience in an institution or governing body for higher education.
Familiarity with PBL.
Passion for higher education.
Ability to engage people, search for commitment and collaborate.
Organisational skills: keep overview with a broad variety of tasks.
Excellent communication skills and fluency in Dutch and English (written and spoken).
Practical education experience (teaching, curriculum or instructional design) is considered to be an advantage.

A proactive, pragmatic and self-steering work attitude, a sense of urgency, tact and diplomacy, time management skills, and the ability to perform under pressure and prioritise;
Experience with working in a dynamic and international environment.
Excellent organisational and communication skills.
The position is initially offered for 1 year and subject to a trial period of 2 months, a performance evaluation and developments at EDLAB. The position is eligible for extension if 1 year. The salary is competitive, depending on qualifications and work experience. The salary will be set in scale 9 of the Collective Labour Agreement of the Dutch Universities, with an expected minimum of € 2.709,00 and maximum of scale 10 € 4.084,00 for a full-time position of 38 hours/week. In addition there is an 8% holiday and 8.3% year-end allowance. Non-Dutch applicants may be eligible for favourable tax treatment (’30 %’rule).
