We have a position as assistant of associate professor for a molecular physiologist with an interest in metabolic modelling approaches for a better understanding of metabolic and mitochondrial pathways in relation to health.
Molecular physiological studies in humans, rodents and cell systems provide large amounts of physiological and molecular data. Modelling and other data-analysis approaches are essential to fully exploit these data. To strengthen this aspect, we have open position for a molecular physiologist who specializes in data-analysis and metabolic modelling approaches, with the aim to better understand metabolism and mitochondria in relation to health, as a function of age, sex and specific nutrients and compounds.
You have a PhD in molecular physiology or equivalent and proven experience in working with rodents or humans. You have a proven interest in data analysis and in physiological modelling of (mitochondrial) metabolism. You like to develop your own scientific profile in a collaborative working environment. You can demonstrate scientific excellence, have proven acquisition skills and teach well. You are able to communicate well, written and orally, in Dutch and English.
